Participants are able to enjoy raffle games for sporting equipment and firearms; participate in a silent auction; and preview the quality merchandise and artwork which is sold in a live auction following the dinner.
 
Cost to attend the banquet is $40 for a single person or $50 for a couple. This includes the meal, a magazine subscription, membership in the NWTF, and an entry for door prizes at the event. Members of other area chapters are welcome to attend for the cost of the meal. Youth ages under 17 cost is just $7 and their JAKES membership including the magazine subscription is FREE if they attend the banquet and sign-up.
 
Booger County Gobblers is the Ava/Mansfield MO chapter of NWTF. This year's fund-raising banquet is August 8th at the Ava Victory Academy at the corner of highway 5 and 14 in Ava. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a catered dinner served at 7:00 p.m.
 
The National Wild Turkey Federation is a non-profit wildlife conservation organization made up of 550,000 members with about 3200 local chapters. Fund-raising banquets are held annually and proceeds are used for numerous educational and community betterment and civic projects. Locally, the NWTF raises funds which benefit: Scholarships for graduating high school students; JAKES Day events...designed as outdoor education and activities for youth; Wheelin Sportsmen Events designed for persons with disabilities to be able to enjoy outdoor activities; Women in the Outdoors which provides ladies with outdoor education; and numerous other wildlife conservation programs.
